| Forest Stewardship |
| Forest product certification is a promising new conservation tool that takes a voluntary, marked-based approach to encouraging responsible forestry practices according to strict socio-economic standards. |
| For a tree to become a finished wood product, it must pass through a number of steps, such as harvesting, primary and secondary processing, manufacturing, distribution and sale. This process is known as chain-of-custody. By auditing each step in the process, chain-of-custody certification assures consumers that the product they buy was actually produced from a certified forest. |
| It provides us at
Woodgrain the opportunity to differentiate ourselves from other suppliers
in the marketplace.
The FSC Certification involves an independent evaluation of the landowner's forestry practices according to strict environmental and socio-economic standards. |
