reducing greenhouse effects

Our Commitment
Since trees are our only renewable resource, we rely on the planting and harvesting of faster growing trees. By utilizing the Radiata pine tree as one of our resources, we are able to take advantage of the tree's even grain and consistent texture and yet be environmentally responsible.
Woodgrain's commitment to the environment includes having an Environmental Coordinator. The Environmental Coordinator is responsible for training, compliance reports, and works closely with the governing bodies.
State and Federal regulations
are exceeded through continuous efforts to advance waste and emission reduction processes. Woodgrain employs its resources not only to meet the accepted standards, but to improve thereon.
The greenhouse effect is a concern for us all. The effect is enhanced by human activity with regards to carbon dioxide. Trees absorb carbon dioxide during their active growth period and store it in the wood fiber. As trees mature, their ability to store the carbon dioxide diminishes. By planting new trees, we are helping to store the gas. Once the tree has been harvested and manufactured, the carbon dioxide is permanently contained in the Woodgrain products.
The active growing and harvesting of trees helps to store the carbon dioxide and reduces the greenhouse effect.
